We needed a gate on our porch to keep the neighbors dog off. This was the perfect solution. It swings both ways which is awesome. The gate is not a flimsy piece of metal it is well made and strong. We love it. I've done two installs with the railing system product on porches for elderly people (my Mother & my Cousin) who need additional stability and balance. The product is excellent. It is exceedingly sturdy & all of the parts were present in the packages- nothing missing! With a little planning/cutting it fits together easily. I like the very clean look of the product- it adds to the look of the homes.I've taken some left over parts from the 1st two projects to do a step railing for my father-in-law. Again, the result has turned out great. I used the aluminum Rail Blazer product in white. (Note; for the 1st install I used a hack saw for cutting the aluminum parts- the second & third I used a miter saw with a carbide blade. The parts were much cleaner with the carbide blade and my install was quicker.) I lost some spacers from the prior projects & called their customer service people using the web site #. The lost parts were sent ASAP. The gate fit perfectly in our 46" opening. We didn't need to cut anything. Just drill the holes and mount. Well-finished, solidly built gate. For my install lowest predrilled hole for latch bar was too low but otherwise easy to install
