The pan features a center drain and molded fiberglass material with a removable aluminum front. Washer pan comes well packed and is a durable, well constructed, molded fiber reinforced polymer assembly. Installation is very straightforward and instructions are easy to follow. It fit my Samsung HE front loader with room to spare.. I installed this in a second floor laundry room (living space) on a new tile floor that I replaced. It is very sturdy, looks good and matches well with the tiles (also purchased at Home Depot). I applied 3/4 inch wide by 7/16 inch white rubber whether strip also 3/4 by 5/16 closer to the outer edges to the underside of the base to add additional vibration reduction. This looks and works great and we have much less vibration especially during the final spin. I returned this item because it didn't fit my intended space. It was very well constructed and I would have liked to have kept it otherwise. As it turned out, the pan's drain opening and connecting tube for fitting down into my floor were too large. NO problems. Highly recommended. Installation went as instructed/pictured. I just had a washer overflow and the pan they had under it was very cheap. I needed something I could plumb into the wall drain and would get rid of a lot of water in case this would happen again. This pan met all my needs. If not new construction you will have to raise your washer up but is well worth doing this to get a solid hook up that gets rid of a lot of water so as not to have an overflow. I was surprised at how heavy the washer pan is. It should last a lot longer than a cheap plastic one. The drain that comes with it is also quite nice. It's nothing like a low end product. It also came well packed to prevent breakage. Quality washer pan with convenient removable front panel so you can slide the washer in. Well built, easy installation. I wish it were available in larger size(s).
