• The cup holder is compatible with for Boxster 986 (1997-2004) and for Porsche 996 911 (1999-2004). The cup holder bracket is clamped onto the side cover of the center console to achieve the most ergonomic position possible. The cup holder can be easily removed and stored in the storage compartment between the seats to avoid obstructing passengers, especially on slopes. (NOTE:Cup holder can be removed if it gets in a way of passenger or is temporarily not needed. )
• The cup holder is made of ABS plastic with flame retardant. This material has good heat resistance, scratch resistance, and is not easily damaged or deformed when heating the passenger cabin in summer. Plastic is UV resistant and maintains its color tone over time. It is easy to clean.
• Easy to install, installation requires replacing the side cover of the console to place the cup holder bracket. Finally, insert the tongue of the cup holder into its base. When you want to remove the top to provide more space for passengers, you can store it in the bottom storage space between the two seats. The design of the cup holder allows for the use of a handle to install cups
• To remove existing decorative elements, you can use your fingers to pull them forward or backward from the bottom, which may require minimal force as these clips securely fix them in place. Don't tilt too much upwards. After releasing the lower clip, slide the fingers below to release the other clips,to make things easier, you can also use a plastic release tool to slide from the top to the middle,placing additional phone or instrument stands in the same side stand instead of cup holders.
• Future expansion - phone mount, additional gauges (remove for street use, put in for track day)Base - which replaces the side trim in center console. It uses original mounting points (4 tabs held by metal clips) which keep it strongly secured in place,Cup holder insert - Which clips into the base.
