Engineered as a true drop-in replacement for 6~7vdc G6 "globe shape" double-contact bayonet base (Ba15D) filament miniature light bulbs commonly installed in vintage automobiles and various other application with 6-Volt electrical systems. This led emits the same light color as the filament equivalent bulb to retain the OEM appearance. Draws only 0.125 amps @ 6.5VDC for 80% current drop while also providing same total light output as the filament bulb equivalents. Voltage dependent dimming (led dims as forward voltage decreases). Dimensions are identical to filament version for a guaranteed no-questions replacement. Light source is exactly the same height to ensure no adverse affect to light projection in all fixtures, while providing more total light output.
